Environment : Activities for the Customers and Society Responding to Climate Change

Basic Approach

The Fujitsu General Group believes that reducing greenhouse gas emissions (particularly CO2) in all areas of its business is important to curb climate change caused by global warming. We promote reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by improving energy saving performance of products, reducing energy consumption across our business, and expanding the use of renewable energy sources such as solar power.

Environmental Assessment System

As the influence and risk on the environment of products are related to the various work process of Fujitsu General Group, we are implementing the assessment covering the whole value chain.

Standard and Evaluation of Product Environment Assessment

A product with a total environmental assessment score of more than the standard score (80 points) and a product that does not have a minimum rating for all evaluation items is defined as a "Green Product". And among them, the products which have the top level(Note1) of environmental performance are designated as "Super Green Product".

Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

We are working to reduce the environmental load at each stage by evaluating the environmental load in the product life cycle at the time of design using Fujitsu General's original automatic calculation system.

Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions During Product Use

The Fujitsu General Group believes that by developing and supplying products with improved energy-saving performance, we can reduce greenhouse gas emission levels and contribute to achieving a sustainable society.

Pursuing Energy Efficiency

As a result of our efforts to improve the energy efficiency of newly developed products, CO2 emissions from air conditioners developed and sold in FY2022 during product use were reduced by 22.6% compared with FY2013. We will continue to develop products with even greater energy efficiency to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Note1 top level:
First place, jointly shared first place, or narrowly behind first place (as of March 2023).
Note2 ATW Monobloc:
The water heat exchanger is placed inside the outdoor unit.
Does not require refrigerant piping work, making it easy to install.
Note3 ErP heating period efficiency:
ErP(Energy related Products)
European standard EN14825(in standard region, under condition water leaving temperature of 35℃)As of November 24, 2022
(as a heat pump hot water heating system for the UK market)According to Fujitsu General'u research.
