Our thin-type wall-mounted inverter split air conditioner for overseas market “ASU9RLS2” won the “SILVER AWARD” in the “High-Efficiency Residential Equipment” category of “Dealer Design Awards” held once a year by “the NEWS”, the U.S. air conditioning specialized magazine. The same air conditioner model received “iF design award 2012” and “red dot award 2012” of Germany and “Good Design Award 2011” of Japan and its high energy-saving performance and refined design were highly evaluated in the U.S. as well.
“the NEWS”, having the longest history (inaugurated in 1926) among air conditioning specialized magazines in the U.S., has a wide range of subscribers of total about 33,000 including contractors (installers), distributors, designing companies and engineers.
The award winning model “ASU9RLS2” has achieved the industry's top class energy-saving performance (SEER 27.2) and the excellent function such as efficient air conditioning by "human sensor" was evaluated. Also, the neat external design was realized by thinning the indoor unit (industry's thinnest level of 185mm) and the thin and simple remote controller was designed by arranging only frequently used buttons on the surface.
In the U.S. air conditioner market, ducted central air conditioning system installing duct through the building is mainline, but the ductless type(*1) air conditioning system we are selling is steadily gaining the recognition as a new air conditioning system as individual air conditioning is available and contractors have more flexibility in installation in shorter time.
“ASU9RLS2” is the only ductless type*1 air conditioner receiving the awards throughout all categories.
As we gained the new evaluation for the design superiority in addition to the conventional evaluation for the excellent energy-saving performance by inverter technology, we will aim to further enhance the recognition of ductless type*1 inverter air conditioners and strive to expand the business in North America.
