Thin-type air conditioner for overseas market, “LT / LU series”,

Our thin-type air conditioner for overseas market, “LT / LU series”, received “red dot design award: product design 2012” conferred under the auspices of the “Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen” in Germany.
The “red dot award” is said to be one of the world three biggest design awards and composed of three categories of “product”, “communication” and “concept”. In the “product” category, the screening is made for the excellent designs of the products marketed within the past 2 years around the world focusing on nine criteria including degree of innovation, functionality, design quality, ergonomics, durability, ecology.
This year, there were 4,515 entries from 58 countries in the world and our thin-type air conditioner “LT / LU series” was awarded as a result of strict screening.
The awarding ceremony will be held in Essen, Germany on July 2 and the awarded products in 2012 will be exhibited at the special exhibition "red dot design museum".

The “LT / LU series” which received the award this time realized the industry's thinnest level of 185mm in the thickness of the indoor unit besides enhancing the energy-saving performance by 20% compared to the conventional models by reviewing the structure of indoor unit. Also, in order to keep harmony with the indoor space, the external appearance was neatly designed even in the operation mode as well as non-operation mode.
The same series also received “iF product design award 2012 (Germany)” and “Good Design Award 2011 (Japan)”.
Our company will further promote the “MONOZUKURI (product manufacturing)” pursuing both excellent function and design in the future.

The “red dot design award” sponsored by the “Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen” in Germany was founded in 1955 and is an internationally authoritative design award with history of more than half a century. This award is said to be one of the world three biggest design awards along with “iF design award” (Germany) and “IDEA design award” (America).
