Our FY2011 models of air conditioners for overseas market [LT / LU series] realized the industry's thinnest level of 185mm in the thickness of the indoor unit besides enhancing the energy-saving performance by 20% compared to the conventional models by reviewing the structure of indoor unit. Also, in order to keep harmony with the indoor space, the external appearance was neatly designed even in the operation mode as well as non-operation mode. Moreover, the remote controller was designed in thin and simple type by arranging only frequently-used buttons on the top surface.

Taking the opportunity of receiving the award, we will promote the product making with both excellent function and design aiming to expand sales in Europe and other countries of the world.

The needs for the reduction of power consumption of air conditioners is heightening year by year not only in Japan but also in overseas markets, but there has been such technical problem that as the energy efficiency increases, the size of heat exchanger has to be enlarged and thickness of indoor unit has to be increased.

On the other hand, in Europe and Australia, the end users tend to choose thin and simple type of design to make good harmony with indoor space when purchasing air conditioner.

The “LT / LU series” air conditioner has been developed with the concept of “energy-saving, thin type and simple” aiming at both enhancement of energy-saving performance and thin and simple external appearance to match the indoor space.

The industry’s thinnest level of 185mm in the thickness of the indoor unit was realized besides enhancing the energy-saving performance by 20% compared to the conventional models by adopting our original “high density multi-path heat exchanger” for the heat exchanger of indoor unit.

Also, the grade of design was further improved by realizing the external appearance with suppressed visual noise adopting flat and large-size front panel and arranging the flap which is visible when the front panel opens up during operation and formative elements around the air blowing opening neatly.

As to remote controller, adopting the lifestyle of Europe and America, the easiness to use was improved with the weekly timer function to set the time to turn on and off each day through the week and also the thin-type and simple design was realized by arranging only 5 frequently-used buttons on the top surface and hiding other buttons with cover.
