Enhancing industry’s top class*1 energy-saving performance and work flexibility New release of modular type multi air conditioning system for buildings

Our company will release modular-type multi air conditioning system for buildings ”AIRSTAGE” V-III series (8/10/12/14/16/18 HP) enhancing industry’s top class*1 energy-saving performance and work flexibility for European market from January, 2015.
In recent years, the regulations of energy conservation are more and more tightened in various area of the world. Among all, in Europe, higher level of energy saving regulations are enforced such as not only regulations for air conditioner itself but also the regulations to restrict the total energy consumption of the building in which the air conditioners are installed. Under the situations, the high energy saving performance is required for the commercial use air conditioning system which accounts for large part of power consumption at stores and offices. Also, in case of commercial property, the good installation efficiency dealing with the buildings of various structures is an important factor.
The new series is the modular-type multi air conditioning system for buildings having maximum 54HP (150kW) capacity combining maximum 3 outdoor units and realized high energy saving performance by our original energy-saving technologies such as ”Large capacity DC rotary compressor” and ”Sine wave DC inverter control” in addition to ”High density multi-path heat exchanger”. Especially, in 8HP models, the industry’s top class*1 consumption efficiency COP4.84 (at heating operation) was achieved.
In the installation aspect, the work flexibility of the installation which was well accepted in the conventional models was further enhanced by adopting the ”Corner cut air intake structure” of outdoor unit enabling the installation even in the narrow space and making the pipe length of indoor and outdoor units to the maximum 165m to correspond to various building structures.
We will develop the products complying with the energy-saving policy of various countries of the world aiming to further expand the air conditioner business including multi air conditioning system for buildings.

1. High efficiency operation achieving industry’s top class*1 energy consumption efficiency COP4.84 (8HP/at heating operation)
“AIRSTAGE” V-III series realized high efficient operation by our various original energy-saving technologies. Especially, in 8HP models, the industry’s top class*1 consumption efficiency COP4.84 (at heating operation) was achieved realizing high efficient operation.
i) Realizing high efficient operation by “Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger” and “Upper and lower individual refrigerant control”
In addition to the heat exchange efficient “Round-corner type high density multi-path heat exchanger” (thin copper pile of Φ7mm, round-corner shape), our original operation control function is adopted to divide the heat exchanger to upper and lower parts and properly control the refrigerant volume flown into each part according to the air volume to be taken into the heat exchanger, by which the maximum performance of the heat exchanger is secured and the high efficient operation is realized.
ii) “Distributed operation control” fully utilizing multiple heat exchangers
The heat exchange efficiency is substantially enhanced by “Distributed operation control” function making full use of the heat exchanger of each outdoor unit according to the required capacity from indoor unit. The compressor can maintain the most efficient and stable operation without operating by the maximum load. Also, the reliability of the equipment is enhanced as the operation is not concentrated on one outdoor unit.
iii) Realizing high efficiency of refrigerant circuit by adopting large capacity DC twin rotary compressor
The operation is integrated into one compressor by adopting DC inverter control of sine wave driving system with less rotation loss and the newly developed 16HP twin rotary compressor.
The capacity loss is reduced compared with the conventional way of combining two compressors and the efficiency is enhanced.
2. Highly flexible installation which was well accepted in conventional models
“AIRSTAGE” V-III series adopts “Corner cut air intake structure” enabling installation even in the narrow space and enhancing the flexible installation efficiency which is well accepted in the conventional models and corresponding to various building structure such as long piping and high external static pressure.

Outdoor unit adopts “Corner cut air intake structure” securing ample air intake volume and enabling space-saving designing.

ii) Enhancing work flexibility of installation by long piping design up to maximum piping length 165m and maximum total piping length 1,000m
Installation for various building structure is possible by long piping design with maximum piping length 165m and maximum total piping length 1,000m and also piping length 90m from the first branch to the remotest indoor unit and the maximum height difference 15m between indoor units.
iii) Easy installation in each floor and balcony of high-rise building by outdoor unit of external static pressure 82Pa
External static pressure up to 82Pa can be dealt with by adopting large aperture propeller fan and 3 phase DC motor, by which the installation in each floor and balcony of high-rise building has become easy
3. Enhanced lineup of controllers corresponding to application and scale
In the “AIRSTAGE” V-III series, the lineup of controllers was enhanced by preparing controllers from individual remote controllers suitable for controlling one indoor unit to central control system controlling up to 1,600 indoor units.
i) Diverse lineup of individual remote controllers
- “Touch panel type remote controller” enhancing operation easiness significantly by newly adopting energy-saving function

- Further strengthening the energy-saving function
Such functions are added as function to prevent excessive cooling or heating by suppressing the range of indoor temperature to be set beforehand and function to eliminate the useless operation by the “timer to prevent failure to turn off”. As for the “timer to prevent failure to turn off”, the time to operate the timer can be set. As one example, such detailed control is possible as “operation continues during regular work hours and operation turns off automatically after certain time from the start of operation during over time work hours”. - Enhancing operation easiness significantly by adopting touch panel
The screen can be switched by one touch and the required operation can be made easily. - Display by various languages
Display can be made by 7 languages of English, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Polish and Russian

4. Product lineup corresponding to customers’ request
The lineup of outdoor units was developed for 8HP models up to 54HP in 2HP increments. The selection is available from variation of total 39 models. Also, total 61 models of 16 types of indoor units from 1.1kW to 28.0kW are prepared to be able to correspond to from small size private room up to large size space.
