Fujitsu General Limited
(NO.09-Y06-24)

Winning “Australia's most efficient single phase air conditioner 2009-10” Award as a top energy-saving air conditioner in Australia for the 2nd consecutive year

On November 12, 2009, our split type inverter air conditioner “ASTA09LFC” received “Australia's most efficient single phase air conditioner 2009-10” Award (*1) as the model was recognized as top energy-saving performance (EER 5.2 at cooling operation) (*2) among all split type air conditioners distributed in Australia. This is the winning of the Award by our air conditioner for the 2nd consecutive year.

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia (AREMA)(*3) is sponsoring “AREMA Energy Star Awards” every year to enhance environmental contribution awareness for air conditioner business owners in Australia. The award our company received this time is given to the product of the most excellent energy-saving performance as at July 1, 2009 selected by the Australian Government from among the split type air conditioners sold in Australia as the most prestigious award.

At present, for selling air conditioners in Australia, it is obliged to clear the energy-saving standard set according to product type and capacity by “Minimum Energy Performance Standard” (generally called “MEPS”). Furthermore, the Energy Rating Labeling System is adopted in which the notation of energy consumption efficiency in 6 levels is obliged for each of cooling operation and heating operation.

The award-winning product “ASTA09LFC” has not only cleared MEPS but also acquired the highest 6 star recognition in the Energy Rating Labeling System for both cooling operation and heating operation.

Our company is maintaining No.1 market share (*4) in the sales for retail stores for the 5th consecutive year in Australia. Encouraged by the award winning, we will further aim to enhance our brand image and expand the business and at the same time, tackle the improvement of energy-saving technology and the development of products.
