	New factory of compressors for air conditioner started operation in full scale

Our subsidiary company FGA (THAILAND) CO., LTD. ^(*1) (hereinafter “FGA”) located in the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi, Thailand, completed a new factory in June this year which has been constructed in its premises since August last year for the internal production of compressors for middle and large size air conditioners. (reported on June 19)

After test production was completed, the factory started full scale production and delivered the first mass production units to the adjacent FUJITSU GENERAL (THAILAND) CO., LTD. ^(*2) [hereinafter “FG (THAILAND)”] on November 12 which will be used for air conditioners for Australia to be released in December.

The high efficiency DC inverter type “2-cylinder rotary compressor” (N-TF30ND) which the factory started to mass-produce this time excels in energy-saving performance and, with design considering future energy conservation regulations, has achieved 5% higher energy efficiency compared with equal class of compressors.

Following the production for Australia, the compressors will be used for the production of air conditioners for various markets.

Furthermore, the new factory is expected to realize the shortening of production lead time and reduction of inventory by the synchronization with the production of FG (THAILAND) in the same industrial estate, which will contribute to the enhancement of productivity in the future.

FGA will further improve the production efficiency as a factory of key components for middle and large size air conditioners by producing high efficiency compressors in addition to the conventional fan motors, and we will aim to further expand the business of middle and large size air conditioners.

The high efficiency DC inverter type “2-cylinder rotary compressor” (N-TF30ND) developed this time has high energy efficiency even for wide load fluctuations and, with designing considering future energy conservation regulations, has achieved 5% higher energy efficiency compared with equal class of compressors. Also, by optimizing the structure inside the compressor, the discharge oil volume was halved and the loss of heat transmission of heat exchanger was reduced, and at the same time, the installation of long piping required for building and large scale facility was made possible.

The compressors mass-produced this time will be used for the large-size inverter air conditioners for Australia to be released in December.
