New compressor factory for air conditioner completed |
||
Our subsidiary company FGA (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (Chonburi, Thailand. President: Norio Yamaichi, engaged in manufacturing and sales of components for air conditioner, 100% invested by our company, hereinafter “FGA”) has been constructing a new factory for internal production of compressors for middle and large size air conditioners in its premises since August last year, and the factory was completed and production facility was installed recently.
In the past, our company has been procuring all compressors for air conditioners from external source but in the future, will enhance the competitiveness of middle and large size air conditioners by developing and producing optimum compressors for our air conditioners in our own factory.
The new compressor factory (total floor space of premises: 7,500 m2), partly 2 storied, was constructed in the premises (25,600 m2) of FGA and consists of mechanical processing and assembly lines utilizing a part of the present factory (total floor space: 12,700m2) as well.
The operation of the factory will start in August after making alignment of facility. The capacity of compressor production in the factory is 400,000 units per year in the beginning and the aggregate investment amount is about 3 billion yen.
The new factory is laid out so that the parts to be produced inside the company such as mechanical processing parts, shells, motors may be directly connected with the assembly lines to minimize the arrangement required to change the models. By this, the inventory in the production process can be minimized and, at the same time, the synchronization with the production of middle and large size air conditions at the factory of Fujitsu General (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Chonburi, Thailand, 100% invested by our company, hereinafter “FG (Thailand)”) in the same industrial area enabled the shortening of production lead time and reduction of inventory, which is expected to contribute to the enhancement of productivity in the future.
Our company had been manufacturing the middle and large size packaged air conditioners and multi air conditioners for buildings at FG (Thailand) but after the production of multi air conditioners for buildings was transferred to FGCA (Wuxi, China), FG (Thailand) is further improving the production efficiency as dedicated factory of middle and large size packaged air conditioners and we will aim to further expand the business of middle and large size air conditioners.

2. High efficiency DC inverter type “2-cylinder rotary compressor” (N-TF30ND)
The high efficiency DC inverter type “2-cylinder rotary compressor” (N-TF30ND) developed this time has high energy efficiency even for wide load fluctuations and, with designing considering future energy conservation regulations, has achieved 5% higher energy efficiency compared with equal class of compressors.
Also, by optimizing the structure inside the compressor, the discharge oil volume was halved and the loss of heat transmission of heat exchanger was reduced, and at the same time, the installation of long piping required for building and large scale facility was made possible.
