Realizing industry's top class (*1) energy-saving performance

Our company will release modular-type multi air conditioning system “AIRSTAGE” V-II series realizing industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance COP4.07 (8HP at cooling operation) for overseas market at the beginning of April.
In recent years, as global approach is required to environmental issues, higher energy-saving performance is demanded in the commercial-use air conditioners which consume large ratio of electricity in the stores and offices. Especially, in the air conditioning system for buildings, energy-saving regulations of various countries (such as SEER in Japan and Europe, SEER in Australia, etc.) are becoming more and more stringent, and besides, as the requirement of reducing running cost is heightening, the replacement purchase demand is steadily increasing owing to the progress of energy-saving technology. (In Europe, the growth from 2003 to 2007 is about 3.75 times(*2) on the quantity base of outdoor units.)
Under the circumstances, our company has developed modular-type multi air conditioning system “AIRSTAGE” V-II series realizing industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance COP4.07 at cooling operation/4.37 at heating operation (8HP) and considerably improved installation easiness and will start selling in such overseas markets as Europe, China and Australia.
“AIRSTAGE” V-II series is the state-of-the-art air conditioning system for buildings having capacity of 8 – 48 HP combining up to 3 outdoor units and has realized industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance by our own newly developed energy-saving technology such as “round corner type high density multi path heat exchanger”, “sine-wave DC inverter control”. Furthermore, by adopting “corner cut air inhaling structure” for outdoor unit, the installation space was reduced by about 16%(*3) realizing space-saving installation. Also, by the introduction of remote centralized control system, the operation efficiency of the whole system has been enhanced.
We will make further efforts for expansion of air conditioner business including the business of multi air conditioning system for buildings by positively tackling the global environmental issues.

1. Realizing industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance COP4.07 at cooling operation/4.37 at heating operation (8HP)
“AIRSTAGE” V-II series achieved industry's top class(*1) COP4.07 at cooling operation/4.37 at heating operation (8HP) by various own energy-saving technology and enhanced heat exchange efficiency by 27% at cooling operation and 18% at heating operation compared with conventional model.
1)Realizing high efficiency by adopting “round-corner type high density multi path heat exchanger”
High efficiency operation was realized by the development of heat exchanger of round-corner shape which increases heat exchange capacity 1.7 times compared with conventional model in spite of reducing installation space.
Also, heat exchange efficiency has substantially improved by the high density multi path heat exchanger adopting thin copper pipe of Φ7mm realizing high energy-saving performance.
Furthermore, by the round-corner shape, total air inhaling is possible even at multiple connection maintaining high performance.
2)Realizing high efficiency operation of compressor and low noise operation of fan by adopting sine-wave driving system DC inverter
The low noise air blowing fan was realized by improving efficiency of efficient DC twin rotary compressor and equipping DC fan motor as well as adopting DC inverter control of sine-wave drive system with less rotation loss.
3)Energy-saving control function according to the use condition
Various energy-saving functions are equipped to save electricity charge such as function of “setting upper and lower limit of room temperature” to prevent excessive cooling and heating, “peak cut” function to cut power consumption rising at the peak in hot season and function of “timer to prevent failure to turn off power” in corridors or meeting rooms where the failure tends to occur at the end of working time.
2. Improving installation easiness and design flexibility
1)Realizing space-saving installation (reducing installation space by 16%(*3) compared with conventional model) by adopting new type heat exchanger and “corner cut air inhaling structure” for outdoor unit
In the new outdoor unit, while improving the efficiency, considerable space-saving installation has been realized by adopting “corner cut air inhaling structure” optimizing the design of housing and cutting the corner of housing in order to make use of the feature of “round-corner type high density multi path heat exchanger”.
Installation easiness was enhanced by reducing total installation space by 16% and 44% compared with conventional models of 8/10 HP class and 16 HP class respectively, which produced surplus space on the roof and each floor.
2)Enhancing design flexibility considerably by adopting long piping designing up to 1,000m total pipe length and maximum external static pressure 80Pa
Design flexibility for the installation in large scale offices and hotels was enhanced by extending total pipe length up to 1,000m and pipe length after the first branching up to 60m.
Furthermore, industry's top class(*1) external static pressure 80Pa was realized and the designing of installation in each floor of high-rise building and balcony was made easy by dealing with the connection with long air blowing hood.

3. Remote centralized control system easier for users to control
1)Touch-panel type centralized controller by which various control functions can be easily operated
Easy operation by large-size LCD screen of 7.5 inch
By simply touching the screen, the control information is displayed with icons and icons and texts in easy-to-understand way. A large-size LCD screen of 7.5 inch was adopted for everybody to be able to operate various controls, settings and detail confirmation.
Variety of centralized control functions controlling up to 400 indoor units with one touch panel controller
It is possible to control up to 400 indoor units with one touch panel controller.
In addition to monitoring the operation of registered indoor units, total/group/individual air conditioning management and yearly schedule function, variety of centralized control functions including coordination with central management system of buildings and emergency stop function receiving signal from fire alarm equipment is equipped.
2)System controller strengthening remote control function (Software)
Centralized control and remote control possible with one PC
The control of up to 1,600 indoor units with 4 networks is possible with one system controller. Centralized control of up to 20 buildings such as business office and facility with multiple buildings is possible.
Furthermore, by adopting Web function, remote control of up to 10 sites can be made such as centrally controlling air conditioners installed in retail shops and restaurants at multiple areas. Also, it helps to establish flexible control system such as changing surveillance system at day and night by monitoring air conditioners of one building from 5 different places.
Variety of centralized controls by simple operation
Checking and operation of each equipment can be made simply according to the floor to be controlled by setting screen display of area/whole building/floor/individual room of the building in which air conditioning is controlled. Especially, industry's first 3D picture display of building makes it possible to check operating condition of each equipment and abnormality at a glance. Besides, variety of centralized controls such as operation setting of each equipment, electricity distribution function, system setting by zone can easily be made.
4. Product lineup corresponding to customers' request
The lineup of outdoor units was developed for 8HP models up to 48HP from per 2HP. The selection is available from variation of total 33 models comprising 21 models of space saving combination and 12 models of energy saving combination. Also, total 49 models of 11 types of indoor units from 2.2kW to 25.0kW are prepared.
