Realizing industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance Three-phase power supply compatible

Our company will release three outdoor unit models of three-phase power supply compatible large-size commercial inverter air conditioners realizing industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance for Europe at the end of December.
Recently, as global approach is required to environmental problems, higher energy-saving performance is demanded in the commercial air conditioner which consumes large ratio of electricity in the stores and offices.
Under such circumstances, our company has been tackling positively the enhancement of energy-saving performance and improvement of functions of middle and large size air conditioners.
We developed new outdoor units realizing the industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance and complying with "three-phase power supply", "long piping" and "pleasant air flow distribution in large floor" which are required for large size air conditioners for commercial use.
In the new outdoor units, the top class(*1) energy-saving performance is realized in each capacity type (36/45/54 type) in combination with various indoor units such as ceiling cassette type, ceiling type, ducted type. Especially, in the combination of AOYD36LATT and ceiling cassette type indoor units, the energy-consumption efficiency (COP) 4.10 at cooling operation was achieved and the highest "Class A" was realized in "Energy Labeling Regulation"(*2) in the European market. Also, in other 2 models, energy-saving performance equivalent to "Class A" was achieved.
Furthermore, we are endeavoring to enhance reliability by complying with three-phase power supply used for commercial purpose and also clearing "European Harmonic Current Regulation"(*3) . Flexible installation for various properties such as stores and offices is made possible by long pipe designing of maximum pipe length 75m and "simultaneous operation multi" function realizing pleasant air conditioning in every corner of large or irregular floor by simultaneous operation of 2 – 3 indoor units with one outdoor unit is adopted.
We will make efforts for further expansion of air conditioner business by positively tackling the global environment problems.

Realizing industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance
High efficiency operation was realized by the combination of new outdoor unit equipped with new DC twin rotary compressor and new DC fan motor of sign wave drive system(*4) and ceiling cassette type indoor units equipped with high efficiency 3-dimentional wing, and industry's top class(*1) energy-saving performance was achieved.
Especially, in the combination of AOYD36LATT and ceiling cassette type, the energy consumption-efficiency (COP) 4.10 at cooling operation was realized.
Furthermore, in the combination of other 2 models and ceiling cassette type, the highest "Class A" was achieved in "Energy Labeling Regulation" in the European market.

Complying with commercial requirement such as "three-phase power supply", "long piping" and "pleasant airflow distribution in large floor"
Complying with three-phase power supply used for commercial purpose and also clearing "European Harmonic Current Regulation"(*3) (EN61000-3-2)
In the new outdoor unit, when connected with three-phase power supply used for commercial purpose, the noise generated by inverter operation and harmonic current(*5) were reduced by adopting the newly developed three-phase power supply inverter. By this, "European Harmonic Current Regulation"(*3) (EN61000-3-2) is cleared with the product on its own, which enhances the reliability.
Widely applicable to store and office properties by long pipe compatible designing of max. 75m
Installation with high flexibility for stores and offices was realized by long pipe designing enabling maximum pipe length 75m and maximum system height difference 30m.
Also, the expanded lineup of indoor units to be connected made presentation of various air conditioning environments possible.
Adopting "simultaneous operation multi" function realizing pleasant air conditioning in every corner of large or irregular floor by simultaneous operation of 2 – 3 indoor units with one outdoor unit
In the new outdoor unit, the piping from one outdoor unit can be branched out to maximum 3 pipes to install indoor units. By adopting this "simultaneous operation multi" function, air conditioning in every corner of large or irregular floor such as offices, stores, public facilities, halls, was realized.
Adopting peak cut mode to control the electricity during high power consumption time and silent mode to reduce operation noise by controlling compressor and fan motor of outdoor unit
By controlling compressor and fan motor through the input signal from external controller, peak cut mode to control the electricity during high power consumption time by 4 steps (100%, 75%, 50%, 0%) and silent mode to reduce operation noise by 2 steps were adopted. By this, power consumption at peak time and operation noise at midnight can be suppressed.

- The "Energy Labeling" in Europe is the regulation to oblige the notation of energy consumption dividing energy efficiency into 7 steps from "Class A" to "Class G" and applied to the air conditioners with cooling capacity of less than 10kW (equivalent to our 36,000BTU models).
- *3 European Harmonic Current Regulation :
- European Harmonic Current Regulation is the regulation to suppress the influence to power supply system. (EN61000-3-2)
- *4 sign wave drive system :
- Control technology to aim at high efficiency, low vibration and low noise by making the current to drive compressor a sign wave.
- *5 harmonic current :
- Current of 3 – 25 times higher frequency of the frequency with public AC current flown when using inverter type (e.g.: 50Hz)

- (A) indicates the highest "Class A" in "Energy Labeling Regulation" in Europe.
