Within Shizuoka Prefecture, inhabitation is confirmed only in the Miyakoda River valley. The Tanakia lanceolata inhabiting in the neighboring Miyakoda River system is preserved in the stream and pond outside the inhabiting area.

Shizuoka Prefecture RL2017 endangered IA (CR)

Bivalve which will be spawning mother shell of Tanakia lanceolata. The Pronodularia japanensis inhabiting in the neighboring Miyakoda River system is preserved in the stream outside the inhabiting area.
